We love Lollipop Lane. We couldn’t speak more highly of it. The outdoor area is fantastic with plenty of space for the kids to run around and play, and the rooms are always calm, clean and welcoming. Miss Clare and the Juniors team are absolutely wonderful. They take such great care of the children and do an amazing job of teaching life skills while making learning fun and engaging.
Our daughter is so happy here, even asking to go on weekends and it’s obvious how much the staff genuinely care about the kids. We’re incredibly grateful to have found such a nurturing and supportive environment for her.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
What ages do you cater for, and how can I enquire about availability?
Lollipop Lane welcomes children from 6 weeks to 5 years across our Nursery, Toddlers, Juniors One, Juniors Two, Pre-Kindy and Kindergarten rooms. Each room is thoughtfully designed to support children’s developmental needs, interests and individual routines.
We are open Monday to Friday, from 6:30am to 6:30pm, excluding public holidays. Vacancies may vary between rooms and days of the week throughout the year. Please contact our team with your preferred days and anticipated start date. We’ll be happy to discuss current availability or add your family to our waitlist.
What are your fees and what is included?
Our daily fee is $144 per child. Eligible families may receive the Australian Government Child Care Subsidy (CCS) to reduce their out-of-pocket costs, paying only the remaining gap fee after their subsidy is applied.
Our fee includes:
- Nappies, wipes, sunscreen, Sudocrem and a Lollipop Lane hat.
- Five nutritious meals and snacks: breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and a late snack, freshly prepared and delivered by Wellbeing Food Co.
- Enrichment experiences including Spanish, music and movement, and sports for our Pre-Kindy and Kindergarten children.
Little Sensory Learners involves an additional out-of-pocket cost. We may also welcome additional incursions and special visitors throughout the year based on children’s interests, our educational program and opportunities within the local community.
Please bring a clearly labelled bag containing a labelled water bottle, at least two changes of clothing, bottles and expressed milk or formula where required, and any comfort item your child uses. Our educators will let you know if anything else is needed.
Do you offer Free Kindy, and how do you prepare children for school?
Yes. Lollipop Lane offers an approved Kindergarten program for children in the year before Prep. Eligible children can access the Queensland Government’s Free Kindy program for 15 hours per week, 40 weeks per year.
Our program is led by a qualified Early Childhood Teacher with experience in the school environment. Through play-based learning, intentional teaching and our dedicated School Readiness Program, children develop communication, early literacy and numeracy, problem-solving and independence.
We also nurture friendships, resilience, responsibility and confidence, helping children and families prepare for a positive transition to Prep.
What are your educator-to-child ratios, and what qualifications do your educators hold?
Our educator-to-child ratios meet the requirements of the National Quality Framework and Queensland legislation:
- Birth to 24 months: one educator for every four children.
- Over 24 months and under 36 months: one educator for every five children.
- 36 months to school age: one educator for every eleven children.
Ratios are maintained across the service, alongside active supervision and consideration of children’s individual ages and needs.
Our educators hold, or are actively working towards, recognised early childhood education and care qualifications appropriate to their roles. Our Kindergarten program is led by a qualified Early Childhood Teacher.
Educators and other relevant team members hold current Queensland Blue Cards and complete the training required for their roles. This includes first aid, CPR, asthma and anaphylaxis training, child protection training and ongoing child-safety education.
How do you keep children safe and protect their privacy?
Children’s safety, rights and wellbeing guide everything we do. Our educators actively supervise children, maintain safe environments and follow clear procedures for arrivals and departures, medical needs, emergencies, child protection and the safe use of digital technology.
We listen to children, respect their rights and help them recognise trusted adults and speak up when something doesn’t feel right. The annual Bravehearts Ditto’s Keep Safe Adventure Show supports age-appropriate learning about body ownership, personal safety and recognising unsafe situations.
We respect every family’s choices about their child’s photographs and personal information. Images are managed in accordance with our privacy, consent and child-safety procedures, and families can tell us what they do and do not consent to, including social media use.
Children’s faces are not shown in group Storypark posts, and photographs used in individual documentation do not show other children in the background. We also consider children’s own wishes when taking and using photographs. You are welcome to discuss your preferences or change your consent at any time.
How do you support children’s health and individual needs?
Please tell us about any allergies, anaphylaxis or medical conditions before your child begins care. We work closely with your family to understand your child’s needs and ensure appropriate medical management plans, medications and risk-minimisation strategies are in place.
Our educators receive regular first aid and allergy and anaphylaxis management training. We follow clear procedures for managing medical conditions, administering medication and responding to emergencies.
If your child becomes unwell or is injured, we provide appropriate care and first aid and contact you when required. For serious illness, injury or emergencies, we follow our service procedures, including seeking medical assistance where necessary. Families are kept informed, and any required incident or illness documentation is completed.
We believe every child should feel that they belong. For children with additional needs, we work with families to understand their strengths and circumstances and consider how best to support their participation. Where appropriate, we also collaborate with inclusion support services and other professionals involved in your child’s care.
