Meet our lead Teacher

Alex leads our Nursery with a calm, nurturing presence that helps our youngest children feel safe, secure and loved from their very first day. Holding a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and with over four years of experience, she believes strong, trusting relationships are the foundation for every child’s learning journey. Alex takes the time to get to know each baby and their family, working closely with parents to follow individual routines, provide consistent care and ensure a smooth transition from home to nursery. She loves celebrating every milestone, no matter how big or small, and delights in watching children’s personalities blossom as they grow. Her gentle nature, patience and genuine warmth create a true home away from home where babies can thrive and families feel confident their little ones are in caring hands.

What children need at this stage

Babies need warm, predictable relationships, responsive care and plenty of unhurried time to move, observe and explore. Feeding, rest and comfort are treated as important relationship-building moments.

Settling and relationship

Families are invited to spend time in the Nursery before their child starts. A familiar educator welcomes each baby, follows their cues and keeps the day as predictable as possible. Comfort is never rushed.

Experiences you may see

• Tummy time and open-ended floor play
• Songs, stories, puppets and simple language experiences
• Treasure baskets and safe sensory materials
• Grasping, posting, stacking and cause-and-effect play
• Outdoor exploration, nature and water play
• One-to-one connection during bottles, meals and care routines

Routines and family communication:

Feeding, bottles, sleep and care are planned closely with families and adapted as babies grow. Safe-sleep requirements guide every rest. Families receive routine information, learning updates and personal conversations with educators.
