Self-Regulation & Independence

Growing confidence with emotions, friendships, routines and responsibility.

Meet our lead Teacher

Eva leads our Pre-Kindy room with creativity, enthusiasm and a genuine passion for early childhood education. A Diploma-qualified educator with over ten years of experience and a mum herself, she has experienced Lollipop Lane from both sides, with her daughter attending the centre before starting school. She loves creating engaging, hands-on learning experiences that spark curiosity and inspire children to explore the world around them. Eva celebrates each child’s unique interests and learning style, building confidence, independence and a lifelong love of learning. Her warm, energetic personality makes every day exciting, meaningful and full of discovery.

Learning Environment

What children need at this stage

3–4-year-olds need space to assert themselves while learning how their actions affect others. Educators combine respectful limits with choices, humour, and practical support for sharing, waiting, and problem-solving.

Settling and relationship

Consistent educators, a clear daily rhythm and meaningful jobs help children feel that they belong. When mornings are difficult, educators connect through the child’s interests and stay alongside them until they are ready to join in.

Experiences you may see

• Dramatic play and home-corner experiences
• Playdough, clay, collage and process art
• Bike-track and gross-motor play
• Sorting, matching and simple counting
• Group songs, stories and movement
• Nature, gardening and water exploration

Routines and family communication:

Children are encouraged to participate in mealtimes, handwashing, dressing and care routines with patient support. Rest needs remain individual. Families hear about both the practical parts of the day and the learning behind the play.
